England’s World Cup squad arrived arrived at St George’s Park to begin preparation for the World Cup next month.

Players began arriving this morning with the first full training session expected to kick off  tomorrow.

Philip Atkins, Leader of Staffordshire County Council said: “We are proud to be welcoming members of this World Cup squad to the county today and I know people across Staffordshire will be cheering on the whole team at their temporary home here in Staffordshire and away in the competition in Russia next month.”

England’s first game of the World Cup is on June 18 against Tunisia, meaning most of the squad will get almost a month of preparation.
