Gordon Evans founded Stafford Town Football Club in 1976, they now have 31 teams of all ages and abilities, over 400 people playing football for the club and thousands of spectators visiting Evans Park each year. Gordon was recognised in this years New Years Honours List and has visited Buckingham Palace this week to receive the British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to football.
