The County Council Election took place on Thursday 4 May 2017.

Stafford went to the polls ahead of a snap general election with the Conservative party coming out with an overall majority.

The overall turnout was 33.86%

Carolyn Trowbridge – Conservative Party Candidate – 1635 Votes

Stone Rural County Division

Ian Parry – Conservative Party Candidate – 2546 Votes

Stone Urban County Division

Jill Hood – Independent Candidate – 1694 Votes

Highfields and Western Downs (2 Seats)

Victoria Jenkinson – Conservative Party Candidate – 650 Votes
