According to the organisers, over 60,000 people attended this year’s Staffordshire County Show – after the first day saw some heavy rain, on the second day visitors enjoyed warm sunshine.
Now in its 218th year, the two-day agricultural show drew crowds from across the county and beyond, with JCB’s Dancing Diggers this years main attraction.
Families and visitors enjoyed a whole range of shows and events including horse and dog shows and steam train rides.
The show is organised by the Staffordshire and Birmingham Agricultural Society.

Ray Crowther chatted to Ian from The Stafford & District Model Engineering Society about their model engineering activities, with emphasis on live steam locomotives. You can hear the interview below, though it’s a little noisy as it was recorded next to a live steam locomotive!
