From expressive and creative choreography, to powerful and courageous balances, this month will see eight eager gymnasts from a local club in Stafford compete at the Acrobatic British Championships in Stoke-on-Trent.
From 19 – 20 May at Fenton Manor Sports Complex, judges will see one-pair and two-trios from
Stafford Gymnastics Club compete for the top honours after receiving support from a local accountancy firm.
The talented participants from Stafford include:
- Lacey O’Neil and Bertie Thorpe, Grade 1
- Freya Johnson, Grace Miller and Lexie Banks, Grade 4
- Beth Giles, Claudia Ballinger and Saffron Ingham, IDP (International Development Pathway)
Local chartered certified accountants, Howards, has helped the club to buy state-of-the-art equipment to help the young gymnasts practice tumbling skills such as flicks and somersaults on a custom built surface.
