The UHNM Charity is launching its biggest ever gift appeal to bring some Christmas cheer to children and adults staying in hospital over the festive period.

The Charity aim to improve both patient care and their experience at University Hospital Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) is asking people to donate gifts which will be handed out to patients at both the County Hospital in Stafford and Royal Stoke University Hospital in the run up to Christmas Day.

Steve Rushton, UHNM Charity Manager said: “Christmas is usually a wonderful time of year filled with family, friends and festivities. Sadly, hundreds of people in our local area spend their Christmas in hospital. For families, it’s hard to see a relative having to spend the day in a clinical setting away from home. For others, it can be an incredibly lonely time, with no family or visitors at all. A gift from UHNM Charity can help bring a little festive cheer to patients in our care during this time. Our Christmas appeal is the perfect way to let patients know that someone is thinking about them over the festive period.”
