Officers are appealing for witnesses as they investigate a serious road traffic collision which took place the morning of Sept 22nd near Stafford.
The collision between a silver Ford Focus and a grey Land Rover Freelander happened at around 9am on the A51 at Pasturefields, near Great Haywood.
A 30-year-old man driving the Ford Focus sustained serious head injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Stoke Hospital.
A 59-year-old man driving the Freelander was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands serious collision investigation unit are keen to speak to drivers who were using the A51 at the time and either witnessed the collision or have dash-cam footage.
A dark coloured SUV type vehicle and a white car, possibly an Astra, travelling towards Rugeley are being sought as potential witnesses.
