Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service welcomed thousands of people to its headquarters this weekend.

The Service held the bi-annual Family Day at Pirehill on Saturday, September 22, and had a host of activities and demonstrations on offer to entertain members of the community. Staff and firefighters also shared important fire safety messages throughout the day.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer Rob Barber said: “We could not be more thrilled with how well the day went and we were pleased to welcome so many people to our headquarters site. We would like to thank everyone, more than 4,000 of you, who came along and made the day so special.

At last count over £3000 has been made for the fire fighters charity and memorial garden fund.

Stafford FM had a great time entertaining the crowds on the main stage through the day and playing some games with you all!

A live demonstration of a road traffic accident was a popular attraction on the day
